His defense, from his days in Seattle, are primarily zone schemes. I’m a cowboys fan.. he wasn’t great there. Ricks & Stingley are man to man corners. I don’t think it’s a good fit.

My personal feeling based off of putting together various things I've read about him and 1 interview...
This would be the defensive Matt Canada hire. Personality wise. It would be ultimately self-defeating no matter what his X&O qualifications are, which are middle of the road as far as I'm concerned to boot.

Just my opinion. Richard offers nothing. Won’t recruit or can’t. Apparently an abrasive personality that thinks he is the better than any coach no matter the team he is on.
I doubt Richard and Coach Raymond would mix well since Richard would most likely try and take over DB room.
This is all just me reading between the lines about the guy. I could be completely wrong. It’s all hearsay and my opinion means nothing.

Hard pass, Richard is known to believe he is above doing things like recruiting, and actually from comments he has made previously, believes he is above doing a lot of things necessary to be a successful coach at the college level.
