Who's on the hot seat next season? Some big schools could be making changes

Who are the coaches who will be on the hot seat if their team doesn't produce next year?
We have already seen two schools this year fire a coach after just two seasons (Kansas and Memphis).
I will get a list started:
Mack Brown, Texas
Derek Dooley, Tennessee
Mark Richt, Georgia
Randy Edsal, Maryland
Tommy Tubberville, Texas Tech
Kevin Wilson, Indiana
Danny Hope, Purdue
Joker Phillips, Kentucky
Jon Embree, Colorado

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say paul johnson at g.t.
they have to be sick of losing the games that really count with their 1960's army offense.

Sherman has the hottest seat of anyone. There are already rumors that A&M is putting out feelers to some coaching candidates and if any of them show interest, he might be gone before next season.
Muschamp's seat is probably a little warm right now.

fat phil got canned the year after winning the east. if richt gets blown out in the seccg and loses the bowl game the seat will be scorching.
i see sherman, dooley, and joker all realistically getting fired next year.
maryland's financial situation might save edsall.
embree inherited a mess at CU and will get at least 4 years imo.

I don't know, but I just don't see Kelly being fired from ND next year. Another question regarding ND, do ya'll think that they are beginning to realize that they will never be what they once were? I went to OM, so I know all about that, but I'm wondering when they will

ND's has some decent young talent at QB...if they can get decent QB play without all of the silly turnovers they had this year, they will be competitive.

I'd say add muschamp to that list… he seems over his head and also his rages on the sideline are frowned upon. Florida fans won't put up with 8 or less wins for long

I think N.D. coaches from here on out will have a shorter leash because it becomes harder and harder to justify the NBC contract (or get more from NBC in the next negotiation) if they are not among the top teams in the nation. That analysis would change if they joined a conference.

ND has been the poorest run program out there in the last 20 years. If they ever hire a great coach and pay top dollar, they will be back in a hurry. It is a tough job but its one of the few places where you can land elite recruits from anywhere in the country. That distinguishes it from other midwest powers. A top 30 coach won't cut it there. They would need a top 5 coach (like Holtz was in his prime in the late 80s and 90s). I think Kelly needs to win 8 games next year. He is a good coach but he seems overwhelmed by the pressure of that job. Also his offense is not a great fit there.

Chizik will be there if next year Auburn plays like they did this year, IMO.

George O'Leary at UCF. They will most likely be heading in to the Big East in 2013 and if he has another down year next season they may want to start the transition off on a fresh note.
Also Mike Riley at Oregon State. Back to back losing seasons the past two years and next year doesn't look much better with Oregon and Stanford still looking strong and Washington on the rise.

Colorado's coach DOES NOT have 4 years. I heard stories they wanted to to can the guy after one year. That's a football program that has taken a nose dive. They are sick and tired of waiting. If they struggle next year fire him ASAP. Colorado shouldn't be settling for mediocrity and this is coming from an outside perspective.

I don't know about 4 years but he could go winless next year and still have a job. The athletic department is broke and he took over a program that was a mess.
