Saban wasn't impressive his first year at Alabama.

Patterson is the best coach we could ever hope to land.

Not many are when you're playing 16 true freshman and starting a RB at QB.

I think Tubbs is off the table after his little incident today. I know it wasn't a big deal, but some will make it out to be. Considering what Arkansas has delt with in the last year they must hire someone spotless.

You talking about the contract deal where Ford got taken care of first then Gundy. But there hasn't been any spat since then I know of.

That was the start. There has been more

Yeah, i heard from my inside source, a WV ball boy that has downs, that T Boone was pissed after the WV game yesterday because Gundy wouldn't call the plays that old Boone was texting to Gundy's blackberry (Holder and T Boone wouldn't let him get an iPhone, just to piss him off) during the game.

T Boone marched down to the locker room, but Gundy locked him out. That's just the tip of the iceberg though.

I really just don't know where all this turmoil stuff comes from. I am on both our premium boards and there literally hasn't been a peep about anything going on, nothing. There are guys on there who are legitimately tight with our coaches, AD, SID, big time boosters, ect. There have been no rumblings from any of them but in your opinion its seems common knowledge in Fayetville that the Gundy ship is sinking?

more than likely inbreeding, not downs.

OK. I think I'm ready to make my guess. That's all anyone can do is just guess. There is no such thing as inside sources at Arkansas anymore, and this is a to the grave type of secret to not be let out before the press conference.

This thing could go in so many directions, mainly because of the time, it will have been a very lengthy evaluation process when most coaching searches are a reach out, gauge response, offer/don't offer, hammer out details, send out a plane kind of thing that can get wrapped up in a few days.

I think Mark Dantonio will be the name announced. I think it will be a name from out of left field, there might be a chance that Tressel comes as a coordinator.

Usually when something is rumored and publicized before it's set in stone, something will change and it gets all messed up.

I expect nothing but a surprise from Jeff Long.

Dantonio would be interesting. He's done better than Saban did, but then again Saban at MSU isnt nearly the Saban we have now.

I just worry about his recruiting. Unless we pull off a miracle and steal Gundy or Patterson, I think you gotta have recruiting ability as a top priority

Gunsy isn't driving east from Stillwater.

I do not know why, but I think that if Sark was asked he would listen. Something about Holt being here I guess.

i believe the hire will be someone out of left field as well. wouldn't surprise me at all if it is someone we have only mentioned in passing but haven't taken seriously

Dantonio would be my choice. MSU would not be able to match Arkansas money wise. And he actually cares a lot about defense. He's a pretty good coach even with a shitty year.
