According to the experts on here it won't be Gundy, Patterson, or Strong. So who takes the job. Place your predictions and reasoning here. This thread will be bumped to show how much you really know about college football coaching changes.

Briles
Reasoning?
Most successful coach in Texas that actually would want the Arky job.

Bridles isn't a candidate.

I'm going with Gundy for my choice.
Reasoning being that gundy, the AD, and tBoone are getting along. He wants out and into a real money job and lets be clear Arkansas has more money than OSU and TBoone. Patterson's name is out there to much and would fit the mold of a Long Smoke screen.

There are experts on here?
I'm certainly not one, but my thoughts:
Patterson - would be a great hire, but I think he has too much invested at TCU with upgrades he helped raise funds for among other things.
Gundy - Sounds like he really does want out of Stillwater, short bidding war would ensue but if T. Boone is tired of Gundy, we can outpay OSU.
Tuberville - would take it in a heartbeat I believe... a good coach, but not sure if he could carry us as far as the previous two.
Strong - another solid hire, a bit unproven at the high D1 level as a HC. Knows the territory and it's said that he would be able to recruit well. May still be in the picture despite the apparent cooling of his name.
Briles - big name in Texas, could recruit well there, don't know if he's quite ready for SEC though.
Other longshot, dream, names: Still haven't heard a definitive 'no' on Jon Gruden, Pete Carroll. I'm sure a poster will answer this post with the definitive 'no' on them though...
Best odds of the above list to me: Gundy.

He seemed like he needed to be on suicide watch from the last thread I saw of his. Is he still alive out there?

I think there is no way Arky gets Patterson. He made it clear what he thinks of the SEC when A&M put out feelers last year.
Gundy I could see given how OSU screwed him. And he is BY FAR my favorite choice because he is a shitty recruiter.

Probably waiting on grandmas breakfast before he posts

I don't think he is a shitty recruiter. Pretty sure i've heard the exact opposite. OSU isn't exactly a well renowned football school. They are second fiddle to OU in the state and about 4th or 5th on the list in texas at best.

He has 4 straight top 25 class(including 3 top 20) at Oklahoma St... yes, Oklahoma St. They have nice facilities, but there is a reason people call Stillwater, Stoolwater.
FTR, Les Miles never cracked the top 25 in recruiting at OSU.

I would like Patterson or Strong, but I'm going with Gundy

Les Miles never had the facilities Gundy has. You wave them off as a minor deal but they are SEC-level thanks to T-Boone. Heck we are basically copying them for our renovations.
It should be disturbing for Arky fans that he can't do better than Top 25 classes with those facilities. What is worse is how he hasn't been able to parlay success on the field in to better recruiting.
They have beaten us many years in a row, and was one letdown game away from a BCS championship game. Yet we are absolutely kicking their arse on the recruiting trail.
Gundy is a poor-mans Bobby. That is why I would be really happy if Arky got him. Briles or Patterson would actually scare me a little.
