At worst he has plan B committed and is only waiting to see if an A accepts.
I’ll also say I will be a little surprised if it really is Baker. Would be the first time under BK and Woodward that something like that leaked.

But why would he leave Michigan for the same position at LSU?

I think he's got a Top 2 and that either would be a home run hire, but it's going to take a king's ransom for either Baker or Minter.
Minter is not going to happen unless Harbaugh leaves.
Minter was a GA under Kelly at Cincinnati and got his first FBS DC job at Vandy under Clark Lea who also coached under Kelly. He also coached with/under former OC Mike Denbrock (Denbrock was a Associate HC, ST Coordinator, and LB coach). Minter's dad also spent 10 years as a HC of Cincinnati and another 5 as DC at Notre Dame. Rick Minter never coached with Kelly, but they're bound to have some solid connections considering.
Minter is not going to happen unless Harbaugh leaves.

There are 15 coaches in history with THREE or more NCs.
To claim CBK is top ten All time is absolutely nuts.
