Schumann, Leonhard, or Pruitt.

If not one of those, I think we melt.

I'd have to think Saban is kicking the tires on Jimmy Lake too since he had interest in him before. Also, Karl Scott who coached DB for us and who is now the Seahawks DB coach. Saban loves guys who work for Pete Carroll.

But, my hope is Pruitt gets the job.

LOL, unlike you, Saban has people lining up to work for him as they know what the benefits will be.
Maybe if you moved up from the fryer then you would understand. My guess is that will not happen.

Karl Scott seems like a good guess.

I don’t think if you’re a Jim Leonard you go work for Saban. You can make much as much or comparable elsewhere and live a better life. Leonard doesn’t need Nick rehab or attach himself for clout to get a p5 job.

Is Pruitt in serious consideration?

I’d think Pruitt would depend on if he could be hired with the hanging NCAA stuff. Guy can absolutely coach a defense and to me would be the best hire we could make. But I’m not at all convinced that hire would clear compliance.

We hope so.

Best DC we've had under Saban and he probably won't bolt for another job anytime soon.

The best thing Leonhard could do to improve his prospects of becoming a HC is working for Saban for a couple years.

All he knows about running a program is what he learned from Paul Chryst.

You don't want a Paul Chryst protégé running your program.

Very interesting Bama show last night via YouTube. Had a former player on who gave some real insight as he spent some time with Saban in New Orleans.
First, Saban took over most of the defensive calls against Kansas st. Also, Bama only threw the ball like 25 times against k state like the old days.
Second, Saban says he sees the Bama way can still win and admires Kirby for not going all spread. Look for saban to go back to protecting his defense and playing ball control. Saban told him he is just comfortable playing that style of ball and what Bama is currently doing isn’t working. The new D coordinator will have a much fresher defense in the 4th qtr and expects saban to be more involved in defensive play calling. Leonhard or Schumann both would be great.
