He wasn’t on it. He was on nobody’s. Hiring him and then paying him what they did was unbelievably stupid especially when you’re bidding against literally nobody

Honestly, I started one of the first threads discussing Pelini as a candidate after Aranda left. Thought he could be a good fit if he wasn't too much of an a-hole. Good thing I'm not making the decision this time lol.

I thought he was a comfortable hire if I’m being honest. Thought he would give up a decent amount of yards but bring back a high TO margin

I have to admit I was happy with the hire at the time. He was a successful DC when he was here before.

Wasn’t on my list at all. Surprised the hell out of me... but I’d be lying if I claimed to have thought it was a bad hire.
