What will the reaction be if they hire Jimbo Fisher. I'm just curious.

I'm pretty sure I'll just renounce the program and focus enjoying basketball and baseball.

I don't think my fandom can overcome two stupid hired in a row.

Jimbo wouldn't be a stupid hire, he's just not who we need.

I would be fine with it.

It would be hilarious to watch the Aggy melt

Initial disappointment but I think people would warm up to it.

Watching the A&M melt would be the best part

He’s an infinitely better coach than Ed. Not my first choice but I’d be ok with it

He wouldn't be my first choice, but I would definitely be optimistic for the future.

We would probably have a really nice finish with recruiting this year, and could probably flip a few A&M commitments as well.

Holstein as our 2023 QB recruit would be a near lock.

I would love it. College football is about recruiting. Who recruits better than Jimbo? Maybe 2-3 coaches at best.

How are you going to justify paying him $10M+ at Texas A&M when he doesn't really accomplished anything besides winning seasons?

Fisher isn't going to take this program to another level consistently. I still think you're looking at floating between 8-10 wins consistently.

I would be meh about it. Not mad but not the most exciting possibility.

He is not my first choice but I would not melt over it. It could be worse.

Low floor. Arguably low ceiling.

I think Jimbo is fine but the game is changing fast, and I think there's a good chance he gets left behind.

Nobody would call it a lazy hire and Woodard just hiring his buddy? That's on nobodies radar?

100% agree

Aggy melt would be funny but that alone isn’t worth it.

Jimbo is a great coach and recruiter. He could do great things with the advantage LA gives coaches. Even things he could only occasionally do at the aggies. Not my first choice with his outdated scheme but very solid hire.

Jimbo may be an uninspiring choice, on the surface; but if you take a step back and think about just how much of an upgrade he would be over the likes of Orgeron and Miles, I think optimism would win out.

I say all this knowing that a Jimbo hire is very unlikely; I'm merely answering the question.

Wouldn't be upset by it but probably not very excited either. I'd give him a chance but wouldn't have high expectations. 3 loss seasons would see regular is what my expectation would be. Not terrible not great. Would keep the talent cupboard stacked where he might get lucky with another Jameis Winston-like team for a NC.

He's not a bad coach at all just a very lazy meh hire. If he can get past his offensive philosophy ego he may be worth getting.

Not so sure about that. I’d put it at 50/50 at this point
