This seems like the most likely explanation of the situation. I suppose it's possible Ole Miss ultimately fails to deliver the commitment he seeks; but, otherwise, I don't see him going anywhere.

You have to play the game the way it is. You shoot your shot, promote why your school is the best option and it’s out if your hands….
Except, each school controls how long they will wait. I’d make my best offer after a couple of back and forth negotiations and give a time that offer expires.

Good. Wed get the same result as we did w BK. Its like people forget ole miss bought a mercenary squad just like we did this year and he squandered it. He will never win a natty. Ever.
