Harbaugh was thrown for a loop when Les miles was hired by Kansas. There was a deal in place for Les to be co-OC and OL Coach. Harbaugh wanted a complete “manball” identity and thought he had players for it. This is supposedly why mich has looked discombobulated.

If this is true, that is all you need to know about Harbaugh as an HC and why he has failed at Michigan.

I find it hard to believe that Les would pass up a chance to go back to Michigan to coach the Jayhawks.

I can’t see Les ever taking a step back to be a coordinator especially after all the years Michigan pursued him.

I mean Les would probably be a fine OL coach, he’d certainly recruit well. He’d be co-OC in title only.

Only way Les would ever go back to being someone's OC is if zombie Schembechler as head coach. After LSU Les was doing the podcast and TV to keep his profile high for HC jobs.

I tend to agree, but 2 posters i respect on 247 and rivals said it was in place.

Again, I personally don't believe it. Somebody in admin is leaking it to "explain" why 2019 and 20120 were tough years for harbaugh,

Makes perfect sense. tRant doesn’t like to be reminded, but Les 2007 team was the highest scoring in school history, and he was undefeated against OSU.

The name Les Miles and Offensive Coordinator should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

How the hell does Harbaugh fail so hard at Michigan? This was the same guy who made Stanford relevant and then went to the NFL to be the only coach to get to the NFC championship game 3 years in a row his first 3 years in the NFL. I just don't get it. I have to think some programs like Texas and Michigan have a lot more going on than the coaches which makes it where nobody lately can be successful there. Not saying he's completely free of the blame but damn. Would Nick Saban succeed at Michigan or Texas? Sure doesn't seem like it.
