Update: Lane has been given an offer and deadline from Auburn (Lane turned down Auburn)

Jimmy Sexton has an official offer from Auburn and it has a Saturday deadline or they move forward to the next candidate. Despite how Ole Miss finished the season they believe with better players he is the best man for the job.
ETA: While my sources have not given me this info, if Chris Low is reporting that Lane is staying, he must have turned down the offer.

What makes Auburn think they can consistently get better players than Ole Piss in today’s game? I still think that the Kiffin to Auburn stuff is overblown and Auburn has a false superiority complex.

Yes lateral move by Auburn. Caddy coached as good a game as Lane against MSU with only 3 days of experience. At least he got it to overtime.

As an LSU fan we went through this every year with NS.Im
here to tell you it gets old.Might be a great coach but

Unless Lane thinks Saban only has 3-5 years left o don’t think he goes. He’s getting paid way too handsomely to win 8 games a year w/ no real pressure. Just win the Egg Bowl consistently and he’s golden

Lane rejected the Auburn offer and has elected to stay at Ole Miss he informed Auburn via his agent late last night.
