It's insane to think that you were going to hire a coach before the end of the regular season. This was just leaked publicly to get him to make a decision sooner rather than later to prepare themselves just in case he exits. Now I don't know if LSU expected this or not, but I still hope they're doing their due diligence either way.

If LSU is as great of a job as it is claimed to be, why would anyone who thinks he has a shot at the LSU job take another job before LSU sorts everything out?
You don't make head coaching decisions based upon a single early signing period, especially when there is a transfer portal and a February signing period.
