If the last 6 games are a resemblance of Daronte's defense, then I'm good with him staying onboard. What do y'all think?

He’s done enough to get the nod unless you have a home run hire to replace him with. Seeing that much improvement in his first year as a DC is very impressive.

If Daronte stays, we were turned down by other(s).

We have no way of knowing what Jones did or did not do. We do know that the defense showed improvement towards the second half of the season. Kelly will have to interview him, and Jones might or might not want to be here.

That means everyone told Kelly no, which would be horrible.

Can only answer this if you knew how much Eaux had his finger prints on the first half of the season. We know he dngaf once let go and the defense completely changed. Really weird situation.

in what world is 3 good games enough to get the nod here? So no it does not have to be an absolute homerun to find a better, more proven DC than Daronte

That would mean White fell thru. It’s all but done.

He's earned a one year free pass!!!! He and Callaway are owed these jobs.

Yeah, probably.

Still doesn't mean he would be a bad holdover.

I don't like it.

But, you know what would be worse than Kelly keeping him on?

Kelly keeping him on and not announcing it for weeks while we continue to get hammered for not have stability within our coaching staff.

People were ready to crown Joe Brady OC after two games in 19. A good coach is a good coach regardless of how you find out.

Golding must've said no. I like the White hire. Only question I have there is how much did Stoops have his hand in the defense?

If you look at his time at Kentucky, they actually saw a significant bump when he came in. Usually a good sign.

I would be ok with it b/c it would be CBK's decision. His last three DC's are currently head coaches at P5 schools/ND. Apparently he's pretty good at picking out a DC. If he sends Daronte packing, I'm ok with that too.
