It’s not an elaborate troll. It’s not a master plan to screw over other teams. It’s Kiffin looking around and back out at the last minute, again.
He better really love Oxford if he stays because he’s going to be stuck there this time. Other suitors aren’t going to take him seriously anymore.

Humor me, what reason do you have to believe in the authenticity of this email? And why would Barrett Sexton reveal this to whoever sent it to you?
Regardless of the answers to those questions, though, I'd believe it. I've never once thought he couldn't change his mind, at the last moment, in any direction.

I know he rides with his team until they part but Lane hasn’t posted anything about Ole Miss on instagram for a week until last night and 10 minutes ago he reposted their hype video.

Well that and with sources the further removed they are from what was actually said or done, the further from the truth it could be.
Lane could have had staff discussions with LSU (or Florida, or whoever) in an exploratory sense, then two or three people telling someone else down the chain and it becomes him actually working on staff.

He said they have Lane Kiffin Fatigue. They are simply tired of the “Lane is leaving to coach elsewhere” every year or two and they would just prefer him to move on instead of dealing with it.
This right here is what most fans from LSU and UF are ignoring. Both fanbases have the emotional “I can fix her” mentality at this point. Like the crazy hot chick that has a pattern of drama and is always looking for greener pastures, Kiffin will never change. He’s a great offensive mind, but carries baggage that the next person will have to tote. Even if he does come to LSU, this will be an annual discussion and will quickly wear thin. He may win a championship here, but he isn’t the only potential candidate that could do so, without having to constantly tell her she doesn’t look fat in her jeans every offseason.

It would not be difficult to back out of a high school transfer or even a real estate deal if it hasn't closed… Don't put too much stock in the UHigh or real estate rumors. They are pieces of the puzzle, but can't be used to know for sure what's happening.

Well, if he doesn’t come, I guess at least LSU can say they did everything they could
It will hurt because we’ve been here before missing on our top choice and coaches
It sucks when you have the likes of Alabama always getting who they want and having two of the greatest coaches to ever coach
He would just be nice if the timing worked out for us this time and we got a guy that puts a little fear in everybody…
I guess it’s going to work out the way it’s supposed to work out guys
It’s just football I guess but it sure is a lot more enjoyable when LSU was good
When we suck, I don’t enjoy football season very much
