I have been curious about how black is black enough in satisfying the Rooney rule?

These two coaches met the requirements when interviewed and hired:

Losing Minter would hurt Michigan

Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers are "in striking distance of getting a deal done"

Per @AaronWilson_NFL, Michigan DC Jesse Minter could be headed to the Chargers as well

Not surprising about Minter. He was in Baltimore for 4 years. It was always a matter of time before he went back to the NFL.

Hearing Harbough is in LA again today. Will bring the DC minter with him. Greg Roman as possible OC. Will bring his son Jay also.

Like... how does this work? Do the Chargers slide him a check to come do the interview? He knows why he's there and he's not getting the job. If there's no compensation involved why waste his time? Free vacation?

my guess is his LLC gets a check for consulting after he interviews

Yep, no doubt about it. And it would be a good move for them. But losing Minter does hurt.

I’d imagine they will just promote the OC and already enrolled players would have less than a week to find new transfer destination with spring semesters already started. They could always transfer after spring but if they are enrolled they are basically stuck there. They will be better off than Bama was just from the start date

I don’t understand the allure of Shaw

Before everything went downhill with NIL and the portal for Stanford, Shaw won the Pac-12 3 times and the Rose Bowl twice.

AFC West having Reid, Harbaugh and Payton will be something. That’s a hell of a collection of coaches in one division.
