See Bobby Patrino and Louisville.

Good coach but he's not leaving Tenn for LSU unless they're telling him to walk or he's just tired of it over there. Could be a possibility there. Tenn gives him whatever he wants money wise every year and they're top 3 in SEC collectives. He'd be dumb to leave tbh unless they tell him to get out.

No. Fulmer 2.0. Hell no.

Why would he be better at LSU than Tennessee?
Tennessee has high level resources, it isn't some G5 program.

And also, why the frick would he leave? They have better NIL than we do, similar facilities and stadium size.

It'd be almost a lateral transfer, at least with Lane you infer that he'd get more talent here

His play calling cost them the OU game.

He literally schemed a tight end so open for a first down that it hit him in the face.
He is also doing all of this with a QB he picked up AFTER spring practice because the original qb had a hold out.

Red flag

People keep saying this is a reason Heupel might want to leave. Tell me a big time program where fans don’t get restless and pissed after a loss?

Not the most exciting hire but I'm nervous we end up with worse.

The case for Heupel
Had LSU made their list public knowledge?? Yes they did or no they haven't... the results are the same; Heupel isn't getting an offer from LSU.

The case for Heupel is all fine and dandy, but if OU ever opens up (it will eventually) does he leave us for his Alma mater?
Fans need to look at this alma mater shite like they look at coaches.
Would a fan rather have a beloved alumnus as coach or someone a little better who’s never set foot on campus? The latter.
Similarly, coaches are going to go where they can do the most winning and money making.
The alumnus / alma mater thing is nice when interests align and success is had, but it’s definitely not the priority for either side.
