Yup. Hud has been really reserved lately and he's never like that. Either he has cancer or he's leaving. I'm leaning toward him leaving and it's kind of disappointing, how disappointed I am will depend on where he goes.

Why doesn't the university pony up a raise and a counter to keep him? Are they that fricking cheap? Afterall, he is the best thing to happen to the Cajuns in the last 25 years.

No, when Les beat Saban this year, what little life was left in that idea completely died...I don't think you could find more that a small handful (if any) Tiger fans who want Tricky Nicky back...

Meh. If Tulane's gonna raid the Sun Belt, Taggert from Western Kentucky is my first choice.

You mean the second best thing.

It's sacrilegious not to pay the deserved respect of the greatest moment in the state of Louisiana's football history:

Taggart is a WKU alum
Gonna take more than Tulane to get him away from there

That really does suck. Even though due to my roots Id rather Tech or ULM do better than ULL I honestly want all the schools to do well because that affords the LA high school guys good options to stay at home. Huds is a good coach and the type of guy that all those schools need to hire.

Kind of like how y'all are still mad at Nick Saban?

Losing a coach to the Dolphins (NFL) and losing a coach to the GreenWave....Two very different things!

Why would we still be mad about Nick?

With Nick, we had a great coach that was a total prick.

With Les, we have a great coach that's a quality guy...

Nothing to be mad about...
It's BEYOND "ALL GOOD" at LSU!

They ran a promotion for their last home game. The school made a whopping $2 for every ticket sold.

I'm still scrathing my head wondering how the hell a college program can get away with such stupidity.

According to your sources, we're still waiting for Blaine Gautier to be kicked out of school and go to jail.

1) There are certain restrictions, dictated by the State Legislature, as to how much our public universities can pay athletic coaches. The rest must come from the actual athletic budget and/or boosters.

2) Too much of the "Coach Blanco/Authement" stupidity still around Martin Hall. Even if there was a way, our head masters would probably find a way to screw it all up.

I'm hoping Henderson is just paranoid. If we could get just one more good recruiting class and another bowl season, it should ensure a good slate of young candidates just like HUD for a replacement.

Then you better hope Ole Miss doesn't hire fedora because Hudspeth would go to USM easily.

The Ole Miss pay boards think it's going to Art Briles.
