I personally think Muschamp will be back next year. Not only because of the buyout but also because of this PR disaster.
As I just mentioned on our board I hope if and when Muschmap is gone that we go the Big 10 route and try to grab some MAC up and comer instead of anyone that has already been pushed out of a P5 school.

I have to admit I didn't know much about this. I know Boom has had a tough season but they made bowl games their first 3 seasons. And I thought Tanner was a loved, respected figure at USCe.
It's crazy, our baseball coach became an AD and was successful, and we hired a football HC that struggled elsewhere in the conference and has been successful. USCe seems to be failing in both. And then you have Moo St, where their former baseball coach turned AD seems to be in over his head.

LSU struck gold with Ed O. He shouldn't have worked out...especially after his OC last year. Yet somehow it has. Ed O did what almost no coaches do. Learned from his mistakes and fixed them.

LSU got lucky. It’s hard not to recruit well here. Orgeron has slowly gotten better but they would have plateaued without Joe Brady. Give Orgeron credit for recognizing he had to finally overhaul the offense and get out of the way in offense. Brady is the major difference because even Burrow and Edwards-Helaire were here last year.

There are other examples... Belichik, Carroll... enough that teams will keep giving second chances.
Usually, it doesn't work out.
