I hope you're right and they're waiting

Stupidity bothers me more than anything. You're just saying stuff to say it with zero logical backing

So if they have their guy, why create a 8 person panel to vet candidates? Just for show? Doubt it. Patterson is bringing in backup because this is a complete mess at the moment.

I don't know what tea leaves you are reading, but it looks like they may have dried out...

PC at UT would be scary good

Talked to a few people about Texas job today. Expect it to be a slow process, with the hire coming after Jan. 1.

but what does it mean??

I heard it will be a long process also with no need to rush due to dead period.

I can only assume they need to wait for bowl games, nfl games, etc to finish before they can announce.

I'm also assuming there was not a plan b beyond Saban so they are starting the search from zero.

The only problem I have with the committee they put together is it does not include any football people. They could have included some former players or something. What are they going to do bring a football coach in front of a big committee and not talk football. This doesn't make much sense and Patterson has never been a football guy himself only basketball.

no coach is dumb enough to put himself in that type of hole recruiting wise

It's dead period right now. How long does the dead period last?

As long as they have there guy announced right when the period ends he will have plenty of time to visit the commits before signing day to reaffirm the commitment.

Its possible! When was he fired? March 2010. When did texas start having its current bout of football troubles? 2010 season.

I think ol Freak Nasty was possibly the glue holding the whole ship together. He got fired and they went to poop.

His responsibilities ranged from administrative operations to scheduling, as well as day to day operations of the football team and its facilities.

(Please don't research his record as head coach at Ohio University, it may be used to argue against my well thought out theory above)

It's an LSU board called the Coaching Changes board, Gump. I realize you have an Alabama edumacation, but I'm not sure what part of LSU board you fail to understand.

WTF are you doing here? Do the Bama boards really suck that bad?

Texas is slow playing the shite out of this...I have to believe they already have their man and are just waiting to announce until after Jan. 1

^ bingo, we have a winner!

They already have their guy. And Patterson has been saying the new guy has to win, and win big---and that the prereq is a natl title or a Super Bowl ring. That's not a long list.

Lisa Love swung and missed with June Jones, TWICE.

Patterson hired an agency to hire Todd Graham.
