that locker room is a malignancy....and it's been that way for a decade or more.
and will be for the foreseeable future.
the problem is and has been staring them right in the face, and their arrogance prevents them from doing what needs to be done to fix it.

I tend to agree. We used to hear the same things at UF, but at the end of the day the faculty stayed silent on athletic matters. Hell we survived Meyer and are now the #7 public university in the country.

This is very real. This particular booster was never a TH fan and wasn’t for his original hire.
Seems like I've heard this story before: big $$$$ UT booster will swoop in and save the day.

Do you think Saban called Paul Bryant Jr. and told him to kiss his arse and lick my balls, I'm the boss man now and your daddy is dead?

No booster is going to buy out Herman. Not this year, anyway

Only a few programs would pass up Urban Meyer and Texas shouldn’t be one of them

Meyer knows better than to go coach at that cesspool.

Yeah but Meyer wants revenge on Herman. And one final retirement payday.

If oil royalties were a perk for the Texas job, who would turn that down

I’m hearing inside info that there are big changes coming to the Texas coaching staff THIS saturday. They wouldn’t say if it includes the HC but it certainly includes coordinators.

Hasn’t Texas suffered a lot of injuries this year? I recall against LSU they didn’t have any healthy RBs. Maybe it’s just a bad luck year.

Think it was he old embassy suites. It's not far from the Fairgrounds and on the main drag at the time down there. I'd remember the DB's name if you quoted it. LOL! Ole Bob, salesman at the Post went ape shite and wrote letters and so forth to the NCAA and UT. LOL! I myself completely enjoyed stirring the shite between the two crooks.
The Aggies were the devil as well. In fact one of my old buds was on the Aggie staff at one time and he was crooked as a snake. Went on to LSU as head coach later before embarrassing himself. And of course OU. And the SMU thing. So just how the f--k were the fricking horns gonna compete in the state of Texas you dumass without cheating their asses off? Answer: they weren't. And I had living, forever proof.
Truth is nowhere in the USA was there ever cheating at the same level as Texas. All the elements were there. Most of the same conf schools were in the same state. Great players, massively rich alums, particularly in the oil and energy business and massive ego's. And you COULD NOT have drawn a more made for TV or popularly scripted scene than the old gray haired alum with a Jimmy Lee Swaggert hair do and the black kid driving the hot, black, new Mustang. The wad of bills with the old guy frothing at the mouth, high as a kite over the game and ready to blow some OU rival alums up and the kid "just gimmie the cash" and let me get the frick outta here attitude. Then Bob @ the Houston Post on Monday. LOL! All pure Texas. And I loved it, living large there, making money and the energy at the time. Like my house and my kids are mostly on this side of the Miss. otherwise I'd go back.

That's the beginning of the end. When it was clear Slocum wasn't going to make it, he started firing coordinators midseason. At one point, Kevin Sumlin had fired every coordinator except for Clarence McKinney (who never did anything while on the A&M staff). Turns out McKinney was there to keep Sumlin from going off the rails as he is currently 9-14 without him.
