The lack of reporting on chaos in the ADs office as all of these names drop off “the list” tells me SW has his man, and has had his man for a while.

With all of the rumors, none have been that LSU has been left scrambling at any point. The silence says it all.

Whether we like or don’t like the hire, who knows. But I think internally, even based off of the demeanor of O and everyone else last night, this is done and those who know are comfortable with the choice.

Makes me also think whoever it is, as has been said here before, still has something to play for and that’s why we don’t yet know.

Oh look, another Woodward has his man thread.

Need a few more “It was never Riley” threads to even things out.

Let’s say this was true - is there a single drawback of coming out and saying so? I’m talking about something as simple as - “we have hired a head coach, and we’ll announce the name at a time that is suitable for both parties.”

Regardless, odds are we’re still trying to find someone.

And until he does we won’t really know.

Why? What would you expect him to say?

The action equally fits with his plan being unchanged and him not having anything to report because the plan is thrown out.

O doesn’t know a thing and probably will not find out until after we do.

His demeanor last night had absolutely nothing to do with the coaching search.

SW is a very CIA type man. Very smart, lethal and quiet. Lol... Ok. Maybe not lethal, but he has this. I recall him speaking highly of Fickell from the earliest reports. I'm not saying its anyone in particular, but we will know before spring practice hopefully. Geaux Tigers.

How would that even work? After hating Saban for so long all of a sudden would we love him again?

I mean we have burned the man in effigy.

We'll make believe that whoever it is "was the first choice all along."

Yes, and the LSU fanbase would grow with all of the people who left it when Saban did ,come back

I would certainly hope so. The center cannot hold here for that long. TD would collapse into a black hole.

We’re not going to announce the hiring of a coach that has current commitments and is still coaching a team.

What stops you from saying you have your guy though? People are going to speculate and distract teams regardless.
