How strong is this source? Like what's is 1RM?

Why in the world would he leave ND and go to Texas? That would be incredibly stupid...

I agree! Like I’ve said 3x I’m just telling you what I’ve heard from a connected source here in Texas. But often money talks

For one, they have a coach. Secondly, why would Kelly want to leave a program that he has built into a national contender, for a program that is in absolute shambles? Money talks, but so does common sense!

quote:nah. Texas boosters are shopping. Their AD, or anyone else with a title, is not shopping while they have a head coach.
I didn’t make this up I’m just telling what I’ve been told from a reliable source. Texas is HC shopping 100%

I’m married into a UT family. They all were saying this over christmas...I think it’s mostly message board rumors. They aren’t 100% sold that Kelly would come but they were saying they are confident he is the target. I was giving them shite that they still haven’t fired Herman and they kept saying it’s a done deal, he’s gone but are waiting til after bowl game. I do think Herman will either be fired or jump ship somewhere else knowing his days are numbered. The Kelly stuff though..I just don’t see him leaving ND.

Makes absolutely no sense.

You don't leave ND when you're the guy who has ND in the best shape they've been in for 25 years to go take the Texas job while they're floundering.
Makes no sense and isn't happening.

Maybe BK is seeing another beat down coming Friday & realizing ND won’t win a NC anytime soon, thinking he could recruit his way to a NC at Texass.
Problem is Red & Joe & the good ol’ boys won’t give anytime to build a NC roster before running them out.
Such a sh*tshow.

Thank you! Dumbasses on this board think they know everything. Texas is shopping! Pretty sure Hermann is dunzo right after the bowl game

This. I live in South Bend so I have to listen to ND shite all day every day. As long as Kelly does not have a string of 3 or 4 losing seasons or is caught with a prepubescent boy in his bed he will retire from here.
The fanbase, boosters, and administration want a championship, aure. That being said, the days of expecting it died at least a decade ago. There's a reluctant acceptance of where they are in the world.
As for Kelly, he will retire from here unless one of those two scenarios I laid out above lead to his dismissal. He literally pressured a kid to do something completely reckless that extremely predictably led to his death and never came under any real pressure for it from the higher ups. He's living the dream.

Texas is shopping!
Likely true, but the problem at Texas usually is the Big Cowboy Hat Big Money Boosters are always doing the shopping.
Then they call the AD (now Del Conte) and try to tell him what to do.
Deloss Dodds was the only Texas AD that could say no to the big money guys during the Mack Brown years.
That's why Texas is such a cesspool. Every Big money guy shops for coaches (Saban, Urban, etc, etc)

This is total bullshite...until the real estate agent drops the dime.

I disagree with those that say it makes no sense.
I think it makes a ton of sense for both sides, and could definitely see it happening.
