Well, it sounds like Phillips didn't beat Frost to a pulp. He just dragged the poor girl down the flight of stairs. Frost was there for 2 more years, and was QB1 for a national championship team in '97, so he may still have some fond memories at Neb.

From Scott Frost's apartment. Which means Frost was at least banging her, if not dating her. And then his coach merely suspends Phillips, then later welcomes him back.

Actually, after reading that, I've lost some respect for Frost. He looks like a cuck. If that had been me. Phillips would have been toast, and I'd have been out of there.

He would have to do that at Nebraska so that helps us too.

Chip has said before he wants to coach in the SEC. However, I am not sure that he is not washed up and was a one hit wonder at Oregon. Not a slam dunk hire in my opinion.

Is Chip Kelly, a guy who led an NFL team to the playoffs, better than Kevin Sumlin?

Is that meant to be funny?

I'd say Kelly had more than one hit at Oregon lol.

NFL and NCAA is completely different, as we've seen time and time again. Texas A&M is a top 15-20 recruiting program no matter the coach, Kelly won't have to grind too hard.

I'm not saying he would be a slam dunk no doubt dynasty but he's a pretty solid hire for anyone.

That only warranted a suspension?

All offense, issues on defense. Without Nike, would he be better than Sumlin at A&M? With your logic, they should fire Sumlin and hire Mac Brown, Les Miles, or Fulmer.

Dumbest statement maybe ever. How did Nike help Chip win more at Oregon over Sumlin at A&M?

The only thing Nike could help with is recruits, and A&M had actually outrecruited oregon...

So what your saying is Nike helped him recruit at Oregon, he brought better athletes there, and did well in the Pac10, but couldn't win the big one? So in comparison, at A&M he won't have Nike helping him recruit, he is in a more talent-rich State, but he is recruiting against exponentially more schools. He is in a tougher conference, where more schools are competing in the arms race, his offense is no longer distinct (almost all the TX kids play some form of spread), so SEC coaches have seen it and coach against it more than just bowl games. So what traits does he bring to A&M that offset his deficiencies on defense and recruiting?

I am saying with worse recruits than A&M he did far better. So Nike did not help him do better than Sumlin......

Chip Kelly won 10+ all four years he was at oregon.

He did better as his recruits took over, but he wasn't dependent on them.

I love the strong chip Kelly opinions every ignorant fan seems to have, they're pure comedy.

Inb4 "all chip Kelly does is pass the ball and that don't work in the sec pawwlllll"

Any SEC school that tries to hire Kelly requires the SEC Commissioner's approval.

I thought the NCAA had to grant approval and the hiring school had to make a the case for him to be reinstated.
