Pelini took the number. Money doesn't guarantee a good hire. Evaluation, resume, performance against credible competition, experience in hiring.

Shame y’all will have to wait until after Jimbo picks his DC.

Texas A&M is currently 7th of 14 team SEC all time winning percentage. Just a hair above the middle. When Texas and OU join aTm will be 9th in the 16 team SEC. Just a hair below the middle.

Texas Average & Mediocre!

Schumann was a name earlier, but with the UGA opening I believe he is off limits.

So, with the quote by Kirby saying that Schumann would, again, be Co-DC with Muschamp. Seems Kirby doesn’t trust him to be DC by himself.

I had a feeling Saban wasn’t going to let Golding happen.

Muschamp just has more experience, hard to pass on him and pick a 30 year old who has never done it before

Just saying that if a school were to offer a DC job, he may consider it

Yeah I’d like us to keep Jones. I think he earned one more year.

If the Jets can Robert Saleh in his first year, what about Saleh as DC?

Very doubtful that would happen but ???????

If Kirby doesn’t think he’s ready, chances are he’s not ready.

It really isn’t hard at all. He’s not an elite defensive guy anymore.

people act like Saban can stop a guy from leaving with just Jedi mind tricks or stern looks.

You do realize that you got your arse kicked by an LSU team with two coordinators who had never been coordinators, a defense missing 8 starters and 5 of their backups, a team that was on it's 9th different offensive line, with corners and wide receivers who were not expected to see a lot of time this year, 1 of only 2 RB's that were supposed to start this season, a lame duck head coach and coaching staff and a quarterback who obviously had one foot out the door. That is who you lost too, that is who out coached you and out played you.

Saban likes Goldings ability to recruit LA and I’m sure sold him to stay there and learn at the feet of the master. Whatever I think White has more skins on the wall as a DC and would rather him over Golding anyway. Plus White doesn’t have a playoff game to complicate things.

I would’ve melted super fricking hard if we’d hired Golding. I get that he’s turned into a hot name on the board because he’s “such a great recruiter” but their defenses look like disorganized shite and Alabama recruits itself, he would be a total gamble
