Yeah your right, other than him and Lacatoure there were no other reliable DT that year and both probably played over 80% of the meaningful snaps. Unsurprisingly the defense was not great that year
I don’t think anyone is expecting Lamar Brown to play at DT, probably more of a DE.
Richard Anderson will be a true freshman, even as a 5 star I don’t remember a true freshman at LSU being a key rotational piece in a good DT room.
Washington and Brown have been on campus but have hardly played at all and would be surprised if they all of the sudden become big contributors.

That leaves 3 DT with playing experience, 2 being new transfer. If any of these 3 get injured we could be in trouble. We aren’t in trouble now but compared to other positions on the team this one could give us a scare.

Happy for this addition but also wouldn’t mind a big DT for this class

I agree I think the depth and experience at DT the biggest concern but not a huge one especially if freshman Anderson can contribute as a spark of the bench
Just out of curiosity, is whats the main reason you put WR up so high? Are you counting Green as a WR? Confident in Lane and his scheme?
I think we only returned 1 WR from last year’s team and several of the new transfers at WR seem like projects.

Also agree with you at DT, really hope Anderson can give us a spark of the bench in key moments
I think he meant overrated in highschool rankings
I think Taylor said he had surgery in October maybe and was back in practice on February but can’t remember exactly
I think there is talent and depth there, biggest issue with RB last year was more due to play calling, scheme and O-Line. I just think Harlem Berry will be a top 3 RB in terms of production in the SEC for 2026
For sure it’s my only area of slight concern. Don’t know much about the 2 transfers from Clemson or Auburn and Mckingley is the only returner with significant playing time. I hope the 2 stud freshman are able to contribute late in the season.

Devin Harper is most likely a starter
Obviously has been an amazing transfer portal that exceeded anyones expectations. We are definitely spoiled and can now relax and enjoy the ride. This is just for fun and can rank many different ways with all the talent at each group. Very hard to make a decision at this point with new players but can enjoy the process of figuring out this new team

1-QB
2-DB
3-LB
4-DE
5-RB
6-TE
7-OL
8-WR
9-DT

I’m assuming you are counting on Richard Anderson to get a lot of playing time at DT which will be difficult as a true freshman. After Mckinley I don’t see another DT with a lot of experience plus elite talent, but I don’t know much about the transfers from Clemson and Auburn.

I think Aidan Anding will take a big step forward and contribute. Also have to figure out who will play nickle and star
Who are we expecting to play at the STAR?
Hopefully he can bring us back to the Joe Moore level OL he built in 2019
I hope Nick Anderson can show his potential in the new system
If those 3 losses come from 2 regular season games and 1 playoff game then I’m OK with that

Ain’t no way you’re serious.
I never pretended he doesn’t have his flaws, they are obvious. But just feels like he has done more with less compared to BK and all the portal spending.
That’s because the writing is on the wall halfway through the season, not because of the current record and ranking. We have a hard time putting bad teams away and lost to Ole Miss who barely just won being a 30 point favorite. It’s easy to tell what the rest of the season will look like unless the offense and O-line has a miraculous turn around somehow.

Just seems like every year it’s some phase of the game that is just terrible and BK can’t put a complete team together. First it was horrendous special teams losing games for us, then on of the worst defenses in school history, now one of the most disappointing offenses we have seen with all the talent at the skill positions and a 5th year QB.
How much would it take to get Eli Drinkwitz to LSU? Even he would get the fanbase and program more excited
