Then why is nobody talking about Ryan Day? So what, he's from the North. So was I and left and never looked back. Now THAT would be a home run hire...

That would be a hilariously bad hire for LSU. He’s another Les Miles AT BEST.

Because with Lincoln Riley there’s at least the argument that moving to the SEC makes Oklahoma a less attractive job. There’s literally no reason to leave Ohio State for LSU unless the coach is from here or has a huge falling out with the administration there.

Unlikely but I’d be all about it. Don’t underestimate Woodward though

Day and Riley both took over teams that were consistently in the top 5 and have maintained it. The one thing neither has done is build a program.

I would gladly take either, but they are not without risk as some have suggested.

Mario > Day

Mario had to rebuild the lines. Day inherited the highest talent team in the country.

Ohio State is the best job in college football. There is zero reason beyond delusion to think someone would leave that for LSU.

But also there are rumors he is not interested in CFB long term and is interested in the NFL.

That is the most astoundingly misleading title I have seen on this site, without exception.

Ryan Day already has the second best job in the country. Why would he leave?

think about this statement.
Read it slowly and think about it again.
Then admit it's a dumb as frick statement. You think moving to the SEC makes the job less attractive to coaches because it's a much better conference? C'mon man.

There's a reason why the most attractive coaching destinations are in the SEC.

LSU fans have no ability to look at itself and gauge what is reasonable and what is not in a coaching search.

This is going to hurt your feelings. But, LSU can't go out and take Ryan Day from Ohio State.

It was worded in a dumb way, but I think what he meant was that OU is not going to moonwalk into the playoffs every year in the SEC like they do now so his shine won’t be as bright in a couple of years. At LSU he’d inherit and continue to get better defensive talent. In the SEC, LSU has a better chance at success than OU.

However, for the record, I don’t think we can steal Lincoln Riley. It’s not exactly a flat lateral move, but it’s pretty damn close and OU will match on money any day of the week.

What in the wide, wide world of sports are you talking about? I wouldn't expect him to leave Ohio State, but this is the dumbest statement I've read in a while. Have you been under a rock?

Hey Mr. Winnsboro & Others,

First, I hear he's a Les Miles clone. Now who really believes that other than an idiot.

Second, Ohio Site would rather have Luke. Now who really believes that (even though I love Luke)

Third, if SW is shooting for the stars, and wants the "grander", then why not Day???
