Since Sark to Texas is official, I wonder how Jimbo feels

12Just when Jimbo thought he had the Longhorns in his rearview mirror, Texas decides to fire Herman and hire a Saban assistant. Now only is Sark a great offensive mind, but he's a great recruiter. Jimbo has been around college football a long time, so I wonder how he feels now that there's a new sheriff in town.

Have no idea how good a recruiter he is, but he obviously knows what to do at the QB position in terms of development, and that’s one of the most important jobs in college football. He can find some staff members to be in charge of the rest of recruiting. Texas should sell itself enough where Sark’s ability to recruit shouldn’t be a huge deal. They certainly have plenty of kids in TX to chose from every year. The biggest battle, as has been the case always, is changing the culture and getting the boosters away from the day to day as much as possible (if it’s even possible to do)

on 1/2/21 at 5:59 pm to lsufball19I think he’s fine as a recruiter. But he’s not an elite recruiter. Has never shown that. At Texas, though, if he puts a good Recruiting staff together he should be able to get good players.

Completely disagree with you. Sark is a very charismatic person. Parents and kids loved him out here.
