He was one reason I tried watching a lot of Arky games back then. I was always glad we weren't playing him that week since he was such a headache to stop.
I remember the first time LSU played him and he got to the corner on a run. I thought, oh ok, that's nice, run him down. He just kept accelerating up the field while I'm screaming in my head "Catch him! Who is this guy?"
His running stride was a thing of beauty... unless he was leaving your defense in the dust!

LSU is literally the only football program that could hire Cignetti away from Indiana.

You don't think Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, etc. could get him away from Indiana?

Forget LSU, I think the bigger issue is he wouldn't have interest in coaching in the SEC or leaving the Big 10.

Now, that's funny!

I always enjoyed the Arkansas games as so many were competitive. It probably won't be under this coach, but hopefully the Hogs' program will be back on solid ground and relevant.
I'm no Arky fan, but would find it enjoyable to see them beating up on the likes of OU, Texas, and Aggsy.
Well, that's unfortunate that MSU will be such a formidable opponent this year.

Good thing Leavitt has that other defense in Mississippi to feast on.
I don't blame Texas or OK at all for coming into the conference.

I blame all the weak AD's and presidents that voted or supported their addition because they thought the SEC needed these programs.

Bless him. He's responsible for elevating the LSU program, winning national championships, and making us a relevant national power.

Fixed it for you.

Yes, thank you Aggy for being the catalyst to usher in the greatest age of LSU football.

Hat tip!

As much as I enjoyed that win, it was immediately lessened by how bad I felt for Kentucky. What a horrible way to lose. I was with Saban on that one. After the game, it was like, "Man, did that just happen?"

Wish it would have been against Florida or Ole Miss instead of Kentucky.

I'll take a shot. I'm going to say 10-2 and in the playoffs.
That goon will probably write an "I told you so" article and pretend to have been pro-Kiffin the whole time.
I remember his name making the rounds here when he was a backup quarterback at Tennessee.

Best name for a QB from the South ever.

Consider this, LSU will be ranked higher than Alabama to start the season.

Outstanding!

Don’t sleep on Weston Davis taking a massive jump next year with 13 starts under his belt and better coaching

Good point. No doubt, he was awful at times and encountered some serious growing pains. Too many times football fans completely write off players because they struggle getting acclimated to a higher level. Would love to see this guy make serious contributions and be a force next season. He could be a catalyst to a big year for LSU.

Let the Weston Davis redemption campaign begin!

The news we needed.
Yep, gotta give the Runts their due. They had a heckuva run this year. Still runts though.

It was an impressive season for sure. Gotta hand it to the Rebels.
Have a glass of milk and a cookie then call it a night.
I don't want to be a petty person, but every time I see someone spell Kiffin with an "e", I immediately stop reading and downvote. I just can't imagine something informative is forthcoming.

We're past a month now... is it too much to ask for people to spell his name correctly?

How dare that SOB choose to make a life decision different than what we want.

According to your logic, Kevin Faulk was a big-time loser for choosing to come to LSU in 1995 and not make it at Florida or Notre Dame. He should have chosen better programs and bigger stages.
More likely sustainability at LSU than Ole Miss.
