re: Lsu more upset than ND ....

Posted by Pax tecum on 12/7/25 at 2:49 pm to
If you're asking me whom I think is more deserving for the playoffs, Bama or ND, it's Bama and not even close.

I'm thrilled the Golden Domers got left out in the cold.
I hope not. The loud mouths here can talk about how meaningless they are and are irrelevant.

I'm quite certain there are players out there who give a lot of time and effort for this sport and will never play again after their last season. I'm fine having bowl games at least for that reason- for the players who want to play them.

So much of the fun of college football is being ruined in pursuit of the NFL model.
Agreed. ND getting left out was good news and completely fair.

Just a shame Vandy didn't make it.
As an LSU fan, I apologize for us not taking care of business in Norman and letting the playoff fraud known as Oklahoma enter the postseason.

If LSU played Ohio State or Indiana this year, all of their defensive lineman would be arrested on assault and battery charges for the verbal and physical beatings they would give our offensive linemen.
I understand this and think Bama rebounded nicely after a horrible start to the year.

Adding teams to this conference and then going to the 9-game schedule was a terrible decision in my opinion. It's going to result in less good teams making the playoffs from the SEC. There isn't a level playing field from conference to conference. And with Notre Dame being indy and never playing a conf game, it's hard to make sense of this all.
Says the guy from a team that never wins one.

Also, go tell Indiana and Duke they don't matter.

Excellent news!

This. Exactly this.

I can see the parallels already taking shape. Be careful Ole Miss fans you don't turn into the deranged leftists that spend all of their waking energy enraged at our current president.

"He can't do that!", "He's the worst!", "Did you hear what he said?", "That makes me so angry!"

And on, and on, the syndrome goes until you end up like a certain bitter celebrity and move to another country. I don't wish that upon you.

Whit Weeks' Future

Posted by Pax tecum on 11/30/25 at 6:53 pm
I'm sure this has been talked about and I missed it, but a question about Whit Week's future with LSU.

Is it a foregone conclusion he goes to the draft or is it likely he comes back for another season? I've missed the chatter about it and was wondering what the status might be. Thanks!
I've never in my life had the desire to flip off someone.
Not sure why this resonates with adults nowadays. It just doesn't communicate what the person doing it thinks it does.
That's great work, but time for Cauble to up his game.

Next level work needed. Get that man in the ventilation ducts with some recording equipment!

Fair enough. Point taken!
Don't hate because you can't do this to your rival.

Tell me one Auburn fan, if the tables were turned, wouldn't love this scenario if you could take Bama's coaches.

Thank you LSU for providing us with trainwreck entertainment for the next 3-4 years.

You're welcome!
Hey, wait a minute, this wasn't a compliment was it?

Let's be honest- it's a gamble. But every coaching hire is. At this time, Kiffin was the obvious #1 choice. Will it work? Who knows. But as you said, it will be entertaining for some... and painful for others.

re: Ole Miss may fall to 9 in CFP

Dropping Ole Miss in the rankings because of this coaching situation is bs.

Judge the team based on what they accomplished during the season. Trying to look into a crystal ball and determine how they would perform (ala the FSU shaft job the CFP committed a few years ago) is ridiculous.

I honestly hope they treat the Rebels fairly.
No worries. I was genuinely asking because I hadn't heard.

So much volatility with coaching firings, hard to keep up with them all!
That's gold, LittleJerry, gold!
