LSU is not going to give Lane a 7 day deadline with his team in the midst of a playoff run. Ole Miss is going to run him out if anything. LSU has leverage, Ole Miss does not. It's the top job right now which is why no other coaches are signing. They're waiting for the dominoes to fall. LSU gains nothing by giving him an ultimatum. Especially when they have the luxury of waiting because other coaches are not signing to see if the job stays open. Stupid.

Not sure about the 7 days thing - is this The Ring?

LSU doesn't wait until Monday to move on if Lane doesn't sign by tomorrow, that much I can promise you.

Not buying this. No Gordon-level booster would be the actual attorney for a lawsuit like this. Gordon and his like employ dozens of peon lawyers to settle these cases for him and actually interact with the poors wanting their payoff. No way he hangs out with them sharing inside info.

Listen and listen well. I'll be clear.

If LSU offers to make him highest paid in the land, it would absolutely be ok to demand any fricking thing they want. We are NOT in any way, waiting for his season to end, for him to start working on LSU recruiting and portal business.
At that point, its not a game anymore, its down to serious shite. If kane is leaving OM, he wont finish bowl season for sure at OM

You're premise is not wrong, but your conclusion could be. I personally one of Gordon's main competitors. This guy also has every bit of name recognition. And while he no longer practices, he makes it a point to personally meet with all of the firm's clients at least once, but usually twice.

I seriously doubt Saban pushing Lane. He obviously didn't push him for the Bama job. He even said publicly he wasn't sure lane needed to leave ole Miss. I think y'all are over exaggerating sabans involvement if he is at all.

I thought Saban and Kiffin hated each other. Saban pretty much fired him as OC before he could quit on his own.

There are far too many people claiming to know or be related to boosters or "sources." This is just hilarious.
