This has to be part of why he chose USC. Basically, the only easier path would have been Notre Dame.

He could definitely make the playoffs. What happens when he gets there is the issue. If he’s scared of SEC competition then he’ll get the very best of it in the CFP. Congrats Lincoln on never winning a title! You are also a huge pussy. That is all.

Oregon still in their way.
Washington to make a hire and could be back in their way (still the only Pac team to make the CFP, yeah?).
Utah could be a thorn in their side for a while.

If he can recruit like a beast out there, he should be competing with the top of the conference within 3 years, but it won't be enough for playoffs.
