OM could do much worse than this with Luke at the helm. He looks to be trying to bring a ton of experience at the coordinator positions to cover his deficiencies.

I heard Ole Miss this morning would offer him between 1.5 to 2 million for the OC job.

Good hire for OM. I mean, he is no Steve Ensminger but they could do worse.

O has really been a trailblazer for assistants hoping to overthrow the head coach and get the job longterm.

Getting away from the spread is the worst thing that OM could do. They have to outscore people in order to be competitive.

It's probably not his choice.

Gus is the OG

Tried in Arkansas but failed. Then managed to overthrow a National Championship HC

Hearing that Rich Rod has accepted the position.

Honestly I never paid much attention to his offenses so I really don't know what to expect.

he's one of the creators/pioneers of the spread option/zone-read

or, in other words

one of the most influential offensive minds in CFB history

don't know how he will do as an OC though and he hasn't really created any novel concepts since the late 90s (and doesn't really have a tree)

I'm an Arizona fan, so I got a few years to watch. He can absolutely coach offense. We fell off moving to Sumlin.

If you've got a good dual threat QB, he can get a lot done. He's probably better as an OC because his problem here was always D and that sexual harassment lawsuit.
