think this move really affects OU and Oregon the most negatively in terms of recruiting...that's just my opinion though.
and the strange talent pipeline from cali to Oklahoma? ummm, yeah i'm not sure that continues.
The Egg: You are dead on, I was in the car driving from Church around 6 pm and ESPNU had a group on discussing Riley to USC and already all those 4 and 5 stars from Southern California are decommitting and going to follow him, or stay in the home town USC. One recruit, a 5 star said with Riley at OU, all of a sudden the word is that top recruits from LA are going to start viewing USC as a place to play and compete and have a competent HC that can get them to the Playoffs, etc.
The guy does have 3 starting QB's in the NFL that he coached.

I think Bob will come to the rescue for a few years and usher them into the SEC, a conference that he knows well. I figure he will get a young, dynamic OC with future HC potential a few years down the line. If they can’t get Kingsbury (he would be crazy to leave the NFL), I feel like Stoops would be the best option for them moving into the SEC.

The talk on the 247 Okie board is that Riley was hitting SoCal hard on the recruiting trail as they would likely follow him to USC.

It is far, far from the SEC.
LSU does not need a coach that does not want to coach in the SEC. He can build a good program at USC, and compete for playoff games. I doubt he would make the playoffs once OK joins the SEC. His teams would play too many competitive teams that he does not have to play each year.
