We could have paid that to Tom Herman and let him bring Major Applewhite with him to be OC. Would have loved to have seen that with Aranda at DC,

Herman was never coming to LSU once Texas became available. He attended Texas as a grad student and as a GA on the football staff.

I think you're underscoring why he won't be that good. He doesn't want this job that badly, certainly not as much as someone that's trying to become a HC. Those are the types he's going up against.
I don't care how much you say you love a school, you can't have your heart in the job as much as someone else that's trying to claw their way to their dream job.

Ill say it again. Ensminger was just fine with the simplicity of being TE coach.
Coasting to retirement with almost zero stress. We never had a complaint about him then.
Now he will come under fire from eceryone at the first sign of trouble.
People can come in here and deny it as much as they want. This was not Steve Ensmingers goal. This is what Orgeron created after failing to deliver Lane twice.

There is no way you can say that with 100% certainty. While he might have attended school there, that doesn't equate to wanting to coach there.
He would have had a much easier time with the state of the program here and therefore success faster. You think dealing with those boosters and all is a cake walk?

I don't like this hire one bit, but I disagree with you about his desire. SE did not want the job last year, and had to be talked into it this year - but once accepted, he will put 110% into it. He's an old school grown arse man.
You don't become a star quarterback without a desire to perform and a desire to prove people wrong. I think he will burn the candle for this job - mainly because he did the same thing in his career and as TE coach.

People should call into the tell the truth Mondays and ask O why did Ensminger turn the job down last year but this year he all of a sudden has been working for this job his entire life. If that was the case then fight for what you had drempt of since you were in that position last year at this time.

O IS Full of shite. You don't go spend 2 million on a coach and kick to the curb in less than year then hire some coach who was already on his staff.
This is wasteful spending. One of the big money donors are fricking so pissed off right now. I am not sure alleva will make it alive after next season..
