O actually said he hired Canada to please the fan base even though he wanted Ensminger all along. Is it any surprise why Canada didn’t work out?

Alleva and the BOS was to go out and get the best OC that we could. O didn't have a choice. You know this.

We you say?

Notice you joined up within 2 weeks of Orgeron being hired and you are in 75% + of threads on the rant where the topic is about Orgeron. Hardcore pumping pro O spin and recently non stop bashing Canada...

This ^^^

There is no need to dig deep in the weeds of statistics or anything else every thing you need to know about our OC and much more importantly our HC is literally NO ONE else wanted them ...

I mean maybe .... maybe if you are vandy you gamble on a long shot that might have decent upside, not at LSU.

O fired Canada because he wanted Ensminger. He figured out early he really didn't like him, he didn't want to work with him and he didn't like the offense.

There was never going to be a coaching search, there was never going to be anyone interviewed. We know it was Ensminger from the beginning. It's a farce.

If he really wanted Ensminger from the beginning then just hire him from the beginning.

The way LSU handles its business is amateur hour. Just pathetic from the Board of Supervisors, to the TAF, to Joe Alleva, to F. King Alexander and now down to coach O.
Joe Alleva and Coach O's future rest in the hands of Ensminger. If it doesn't work they will be gone. Hopefully Steve can stay at LSU after this. He's a good guy, hard worker and dedicated. But Alleva and O will be gone if this doesn't work and by work I'm talking 10 plus wins and Big 6 Bowl if not the final 4. That's the standard that's the measuring stick. If we are back in the Peach Bowl, Chick Filet, Citrus then it will and should be see you later.

Yeah. Ensminger for a rebuild job would be phenomenal

Why?? He was a failure as an OC when he was one, and it's why he's been employed several levels below that since then without anyone coming sniffing.

Exactly!!! So easy to see what happened here. Makes no sense to bring in Canada otherwise.

Mainly because Ensminger wouldnt be the type to jump ship at the first sign of success. That sturdy guy that is a staple of one program.

I'm inclined to agree with you, and if that is the case his chicken shite behavior just cost LSU 1.7 mil. Fricking unreal

Dude please. It's a football game he gets paid in one year what most of us do in 10.

Let's just cut the shite. He isn't fighting to keep a roof over his head.

O just hooked his wagon to Ensminger. Together they will survive or fail. They seem at peace with it. Hope they are successful but my instincts say otherwise unfortunately.

I hope the boosters are still pissed. This presser gave idiots the "feels". People are behind two coaches that no one in the country wanted.

I absolutely believe that after Kiffin didn't pan out, that Ensminger was the guy Orgeron wanted. I believed this last year and I continue to believe this. Orgeron was just too chickenshit to go with his convictions out of fear of the backlash. So instead he hired the best name he could and then when that dude didn't coach exactly like Ensminger would have, he cut him off at the knees.

I believe this is why he waffled on the style of offense and type of QB he wanted. He wanted spread and dual threat ONLY IF IT WAS KIFFIN, once Kiffin was out, he wanted Ensminger, more traditional with a pro-style passer.

The ENTIRE pitch was predicated on (a) keeping Aranda and (b) the promise that Kiffin was already on board as OC. Once Kiffin fell through there was NO plan B. That is abundantly clear.

But even if Kiffin came as OC did Joe Alleva really believe he was going to say at LSU in that role more than a year or two? Then what? Steve Ensminger?

Does Joe wear glasses? If not, he needs to get his vision checked immediately. He's clearly nearsighted and cant see out any farther than about 6 months to a year.

why? Don't you think an even better message to the admin and BOS of Athletics would be to see empty seats in the stands in what at one time was coveted as the best game day atmosphere in college football?
