No knock on Aranda at all, but CEO's and Ensminger's offense is the one scoring in the 30's and 40's except for the gump game. Yes Aranda is doing a fantastic job, 1st year, but give CEO some credit on how we are winning. IMO had Les been coaching last Saturday night it may have been a 13-10 game and not nearly as enjoyable.

The actual reason people want to hire him is because he is letting the coaches coach. that's been the problem and now that problem has been fixed. its very simple. stop trying to make it complex.

Last I checked LSU hired a guy who NOBODY even knew who he was...and he went on to have a pretty good run. That guy was average at best. So now you take a guy who has totally changed the culture of a program which was about to go head first into the shitter. Orgeron lets his coaches coach and his players play. I see no reason why he shouldn't be given a chance to continue what he's started. I also think if he gets the job, we're gonna pull some serious surprises in recruiting, and well as hiring a new Offensive Coordinator out from under one of these top programs.

Saban loses coordinators all the time. Its a matter of being able to make the right hire. Everyone complained because Les was constantly meddling with the offense, so your saying you want another LM type coach? You pay big $$$ for coordinators. Let them do their job.

Saban teaches his DC. He isn't dependent on a good DC. He only has to worry about one side of the ball. O can not teach a OC or DC anything, he tried that before, see Ole miss

I agree to an extent but if we blowout Florida, A&m and bowlgame u aren't go to hire him or at least interview? We can say the same for les and chavis.

What would he have accomplished that Jimbo Fisher and Chip Kelly haven't?

His team is not even competing in the acc now, despite an overwhelming talent advantage.

Agree completely. Give me aranda as head coach get him locked in and let him do his thing. He's obviously the best coach on the staff. I know he's green but given the choice between him and O I take aranda everyday. Why I was wishing he would of gotten the interim job

LSU will not have to choose between O and Aranda. that is an unsupported statement.

the choice between the two and any intelligent LSU fan would agree

so you say that anyone that disagrees with you isn't intelligent? no wonder our politics in this country have gone to hell. newsflash: there often is more than one side to any argument.

Yeah, the record setting offense and @$$ whippings we have given every team that we have faced with the exception of the best team in the land while under the guidance of a defensive line coach and a tight ends coach running the offense has nothing to do with it in your book. Have a down vote for not realizing that is the reason that he is having the backing of the fan base right now. I'd down vote you again for not doing what you told us to do in giving your alternative names and why. Herman? Fisher? Leach? Briles? You will be counter argued on every one of them. CEO can go out and find a top notch offensive coordinator to compliment the defensive coordinator as well as anyone else that I mentioned.

Except Jimbo develops QBs. Won his conference 3 years in a row.

They aren't great this year but they are also starting a freshmen QB.

On the other hand, we have death and experience at every position. We were picked by many to win the NC. And haven't beaten anyone with a record better than 6-4.

why not give him a shot?

we don't have to pay him as much as we did les.

so far and in his tenure at usc, he appears to have corrected his mistakes when he was head coach at Ole Miss. Not like Ole Miss had a chance of producing national championships these days.

i want to see how he can fix the offensive philosophy, he hasnt had the time to fix that when les got canned.

if he wins these next two games then he deserves a chance

Yes and if we hire O we will end up just like Michigan firing a coach every 3 years.

Could be. But you can't deny the O has opened up the offense (should that credit go to Ensminger though?)
and Aranda has been nothing short of spectacular.

Who would you hire?

I kinda like the Western Michigan Coach (we did pretty well the last time we hired a coach from that state), or Peterson from Washington (though I don't think he would come.)

Could you see Peterson and Aranda TOGETHER on the Tiger Stadium sidelines ??????????

by the way, this line of hes cajun is played out.

think of something else other than the bama loss (no team will beat them this year) and his bad tenure at Ole Miss.

The main problem with O is this, he will dependent on a good OC and DC. What happens with good coordinators? The get HC jobs. So every few years we would have to make new hires hoping the work out.

So your saying that you think LSU will be so successful with coach O that he will have to hire new OC's and DC's every few years. I can deal with that and look forward to it. Hope he loses his whole staff to other teams pilfering every couple of years for a long time.
