Only LSU fans want to hire a D Line Coach

Would Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, or shite any top program in the country want to hire Ed O.

But But But he's Cajun and talks like us!!
He can recruit and knows the area!!!!
Apparently he's the only one.
It's infuriating.
Aranda is the reason LSU has been doing so well.

I agree to an extent but if we blowout Florida, A&m and bowlgame u aren't go to hire him or at least interview? We can say the same for les and chavis.

I'm not a big fan of O, but this argument is dumb. Alabama and Michigan have made terrible hires before landing Nick and Jim. I think people forget how rare a Jim Harbaugh, Nick Saban, or Urban Meyer are. There is no risk free coach. I don't want O but can understand why some might. I don't see why Herman is thrown around so much. Most forget Briles, and Sumlin built that program and had more offensive success than herman.

Thanks for adding nothing to the discussion. I'm just looking for reasons people want O besides the fact that he can recruit the area well, and he is from Louisiana

If he wins out, I believe Oregron should be interviewed and given the job. Who thought after LSU lost to Auburn,,,,that LSU would beat Ole Miss, Arkansas and play Alabama as tight as he did. I would like to see the passing game evolve,,,but you can only do so much with the QB talent on the roster. 2 great QB prospects coming in next year.

Recruiting and fitting in with the fans are big positives for any head coach. Results are also important. So, the fact that O is a former Dline coach means nothing. He has also been an assistant head coach, a recruiting coordinator and interim head coach. He may not be the guy for LSU-- but he has achieved much here already. He brought a team together, set offensive records, won every game he was supposed to win (so far)-- can that be said of any other candidate?
Yes-- O is not perfect. Yes, he looked a bit overwhelmed against Bama. Yes, Aranda is good D coordinator. But let's not completely discount his success.
And he should not be penalized bc he recruits well and is from Louisiana.
