Ole Miss football has ruined any chance at getting a top shelf coach in the future.

The amount of hate and vile that filled every news media and rebel fan across the south has been the worst I've seen in my lifetime. Even Shlos's departure from aTm to go to UT hate was small compared to Kiffin leaving OM for another "job". This situation has all but killed Ole Miss from getting any chance to land a top shelf coach for many years. No coach, even goat Saban himself wouldn't go to that place. The fans are nuts. Congrats
Instead of spewing out hate, just maybe, Kiffin couldn't wait to leave. Yall went 11-1, going to the playoffs, offered him similar money and he still bolted. It was obvious he had enough of yall's BS. Instead of thanking him for making Ole Piss relevant for 6 years, yall crucified him for it when he moved on. Oxford must suck royally. Everyone can see why, look at so many of yall's attitudes everywhere !

A little Exaggeration I think

No it’s not. Ole Miss is where you go try to prove yourself, not where you stay and build
Lane used it as a stepping stone to get to a premier university, and is being completely shite on for it.

He left them at the alter for a better looking girl. They can’t get over it. They think they are the best and better than LSU. They are delusional. It’s glorious

The fans are extremely cult-like and delusional on top of that.

64k vs 102k. That is the reason they aren't going to be at the top of the SEC hierarchy.

Agree. In today’s current NIL climate it’s still an attractive job to the right coach. All Kiffin did there was show the rest of the coaching community that winning there is doable. If Vandy can knock off Alabama last year and all the teams they beat this year I’m convinced any SEC team can be a good job.

Uh have you seen the amount of hate that LSU fans threw at BK? As the other poster said, this is an over exaggeration.
Posted on 12/6/25 at 4:42 pm to sharkfhin
Y’all sold your souls to land Kiffin after tarring and feathering BK on the way out and trying not to pay him what he was owed. Gov came out and said no more irresponsible contracts as he backed up the brinks truck to one of the most volatile coaches in the past 20 years
NIL has leveled the playing field as one of the very few level headed LSU posters mentioned above. Schools that are willing to pay high salaries and are in the top of the SEC for NIL money and more importantly organization will always be able to get good coaching.

Kiffin’s departure from Ole Miss was nothing compared to his Tennessee exit. The students rioted, fires were started on campus, and Kiffin’s wife’s cell phone number was spray painted onto The Rock.

Yes but unfortunately for you Ole Miss fans, you can’t afford to pay on a year in and year out basis. Thats just a fact regardless of what you tell yourselves. If you could afford to pay the kind of money to compete consistently, you’d had a much bigger stadium you could fill.

“One of the few level-headed LSU fans said above.”
And just for that, you sound like a salty bitch. Back to the cellar you go.

The governor and Louisiana taxpayers have nothing to do with how much lane is being paid. If they want to pay the money it’s their money. Landry needs to worry about real problems in the state.

Lol... yall really are retarded

The fans are nuts.

They tried to kill the man and his kid.
They rented him a dog via wildrose kennels (who's another cult member of the Jim Jones club), and then used it against him in a smear campaign.
They call their little college town a caricature of a, "snow globe."
It's sad. We should pray for them, to be honest. Actually.
I'm just so glad they got out of there before someone killed them via vehicular homicide, or worse: knife crime (of which the, "snow globe" town is well known for).

I mean they can get a decent coach, it's just a question of how long he'll stick around. They'll never not be a stepping stone for great coaches
Best chance for sustained success is a Dan Mullen-type with low aspirations

Yeah recruits are lining up to play at Tennessee because it’s the biggest stadium in the SEC.. not because of their NIL deal and playing time.

big stadiums?? What’s is this 1998??
Kids don’t dream of playing in your shoe box. West Monroe’s stadium is as big as OMs

It has to sting every time the national media says they were a stepping stone to LSU job when in their heads they think they are equal.
