Just pray everyone realizes we are a national championship team with a decent defense?

I can see the argument for both, and can see why Kelly is agonizing with the situation. House “schematically” is sound. The players (mostly young and non sec caliber) just can’t perform the standard requested.
DL coach leaves due to illness, multiple injuries in CB room (eliminating guys you thought you could depend on during the season) + having to play young/inexperienced players
- Development has been off entirely in the DBs (corners using poor technique —> having to play 5 to 10 years off so they wouldn’t get burned)
— Having to bring in an elderly DL veteran to teach technique and where to even line up past the midway point in the season is not ideal(not to mention injury + recovery/development precluding production)
Im not saying everything called was wonderful, but you can’t play man when undersized and unskilled, and can’t execute zone without high IQ.
It would be tough to fire Linsey w/o giving him a chance to coach or recruit (something he’s been active in lately).
The question is whether or not House deserves a competent CB/Safety coach(s) + a year to get it back on track.
I personally think everyone except Lindsey should be shown the door. But I’m not paid to know anything.

Hell No He is not schematically sound. A schematically sound DC adjust his DC to something players can execute instead of continually trying to force a scheme that they cannot execute1

Official visits this weekend and next. Don't see him changing after that. House may hold the key on some huge recruits!!

Was the problem House or the position coaches?
Their history prior to this year should help make that determination.

Denbrock might take the Tulane job.
