There was a small piece about that in the Atlanta paper this morning. It quoted a spokesman from the Tuscaloser Police as saying it was a "minor accident." My first thought was DUI.

How do you hit a tree if it isn't DUI? I'm sure that the Tuscaloosa PD will report it though.

If it wasn't DUI, then maybe he got a call that Julio Jones was going to Oklahoma and he lost control?

Or, maybe he got that return call from the NCAA about that little investigation that's been going on?

I almost hit him on Dec 23rd in 2004. It was like 7 in the morning and he was over at that second house where his father-in-law stayed puttign a wreath on the mailbox. He just walked around right in front on Highland and was decorating. At the time, I was like oh shite, I just nearly killed our coach. Of course, 2 days later he said he was leaving.

I bet he was drunk. You don't just run into a tree in the middle of the road. There was not even another car around. Bentley was trashed.
