I read somewhere that Brown is owed $20 mill if fired this year? Is that true? Also, Mike Houston at ECU inherited an absolute dumpster fire taking over for Scotty Montgomery. It's been a patient rebuild with the help of competent Admin and he's done a remarkable job of going from absolutely nothing to bowling these last 2 years...certainly could do worse...

WVU have no good recruiting ground nearby.

What has been the issue with Brown? Recruiting, terrible coaching decisions, bad staff, bad personality, etc?,

He does everything right except coaching

This is one of the most talented teams at WVU in a long time but they are extremely poorly coached

His teams are making the same stupid penalties in year 4 as the team did in year 1

Often they are in crucial points in the game and often cause huge swings

That’s just not true

Pittsburgh is an hour away
The state borders Ohio
DMV is 3 hours away
Philly is 4 hours away

WVU has historically pulled its best players from those areas and Florida

Against the worst OU team in two decades

Sources: West Virginia has agreed to separate with Shane Lyons, the school’s athletic director since 2015. The interim is Rob Alsop, the university’s Vice President for Strategic Initiatives. A quick search is expected for Lyons’ replacement.

if brown is fired, new ad will have to do it.

If WVU manages to make a bowl game, it will be an interim coach.

WV is going after Rob Mullens.

Brown will be gone after his arse kicking in Stillwater next week.

Wish they'd do it now, we are seeing our best players leave the program.

It’s worth a shot but I have no idea why Mullens would leave UO. Oregon is well positioned across its entire athletic program

Mullens is from Morgantown and went to WVU, No idea if he’d take the job but WV’ians have extreme “one of us” syndrome and love romancing the idea of natives returning home.

That makes sense. It’s worth a shot.

As an oregon resident I’m always laughing at the takes people have about UO. Oregon is a national player now with money and less pressure than sec programs. I wonder if they finally get to keep a good coach in Lanning or he’s baited into a stressful sec job
