That’s just not true

Pittsburgh is an hour away
The state borders Ohio
DMV is 3 hours away
Philly is 4 hours away

WVU has historically pulled its best players from those areas and Florida

Then why didn't SEC and Big 10 try to pick up WVU? It's all about Marketing. TV. market isn't good enough. Then population with HS players in that State. It is like Nebraska without all those nice facilities and have top boosters. How is Nebraska doing right now? It does matters with the right HC to have NIL set up to compete and have money to support the program in general. WVU doesn't have those and that might be number one reason both SEC and Big 10 turned down WVU invitation. Plus, location does matter. WVU is in an awkward location for Big 10 and SEC.
