The thing is no real reporter has broken anything on Kiffin; it's all on this board. So in the National media we arent getting embarrassed yet. Riley and Herman both were reported to LSU outside of TD, Kiffin has yet to be. So as of now, no one is getting embarrassed

If I remember correctly, Herman to LSU was a breaking news story on ESPN Thanksgiving night in 2016. Hours later he signed with Texas. LSU took the interim tag off Orgeron immediately after, there were no real candidates after Herman.

Alleva panicked. Herman had a verbal agreement and then said "hang on, let me see what Texas has to say." Alleva basically said "don't bother" and called O immediately to offer, which he knew he would, of course, accept.

OM is pretty much out.

I agree. This whole thing has gotten too far down the road and especially too public for him to go back to Ole Miss. there would be tons of resentment and hard feelings and it would never be the same.

Meh

If he stays he will be treated like a returning hero. Ole Miss fans will be slobbing his knob for 11 months.

Then another big job will open next season, Lane will do this same shite and they will be pissed again.

Did he take that opportunity on national media to confirm he is staying? No. He is trying to do things the right way, have a chance to coach a team he cares about in the playoffs. This interview didn't “confirm” anything except that leaving is a possibility. Again, that ship has sailed, OM has the smallest chance of the 3 schools to have him as coach next year. LSU is in the lead now, for whatever the heck thats worth. Could be that RB featured will be a Tiger too… so chill bro. None of us including the BOS and Verge know what he is going to do. But we all know, he could have shut it down there and he didnt, his family didnt need to visit BR but they did and his son plays HS football with a school field on LSU campus. There is a good chance he is the coach next year. No guarantees, thats arrogant and guessing, but LSU is on the guys mind. And people he respects (saban and O) want him here.

I can get behind Tommy H’s reporting. Sensible with no hint of message board glory hunting. Keep it up TH!

If Kiffin goes elsewhere, we should go and get Charlie Hull...flip the bird at the media and the rest of college football and start winning Championships. He will keep Frank, the defensive staff and the GM. They will be a recruiting juggernaut!

Exactly! Wartime sauces aren’t exactly hitting for average in the last few searches.
