My issue with Matt Campbell is he has spent his entire career at smaller schools: Bowling Green, Toledo, Iowa St). I would like to have some experience at larger schools as position or coordinator.

How is he better than any other candidate mentioned?
There are far better options out there that we could pull and if we can’t, then LSU is not a top 5 or even top 10 job.

Woodward hires this guy, and inside of 48 hours after he takes the job you're going to be on here talking about how he's the next big thing.
Why some of you people who have never met a single one of these coaches or know anything at all about them other than their won-loss record that you saw on a link from a message board insist on shitting on every coach somebody mentions is beyond me.
He won Coach of the Year three times "losing five games" because the people in that league know how hard it is to win anything at all at Iowa State.
People have been talking about Matt Campbell as one of the next big-time coaches at a top school for two or three years now. But they don't know what they're talking about and you do.

He coaches at Iowa St! Imagine trying to get kids to Iowa St in Ames, IA!! Yet his teams still play solid football. That leads me to believe that he does a good job of coaching up lesser talent.

This isn’t the NFL. There are tiers to this thing and you can’t judge two candidates in two very different jobs based off of win/loss record alone.
