His record sucks why would we want a coach that loses 5-6 games a year and how the hell is that solid. We fukin fired a guy for losing 2 games a year on avg

I’d be cautiously optimistic. I think he’s a very good coach. I worry if he could recruit the area, but do trust Woodward knows how important recruiting is that he had to nail that part of the interview.

Guy has won his conference's Coach of the Year award three of the six years he's been at Iowa State.

I can't think of one. I don't think Miles ever won that. Maybe Saban did. None of the others we've had through here did.

Sorry, can’t get happy about a middle tier big 12 guy with Midwest roots.
Napier is a better coach but the optics of hiring a P5 coach vs ULL’s coach wins out.

Aranda is a much better on-field coach than Campbell, and actually has experience recruiting to LSU and in high-level recruiting battles. This is completely and totally new territory for Campbell.
With fickell and Napier, you’ve at least got guys who have recruited at an elite level for their conference.
With Campbell, recruiting is an enormous question mark. That’s not what I want for an LSU head coach hire, personally.
I know this board has already talked itself into Matt Campbell being better than nick saban, but I would very easily prefer any of the following: Fickell, Napier, aranda, Franklin, kiffin.
