A) Point me to a reporter who said he's staying. Not "I think he's staying," as they're doing what we're doing.

B) Recruits? We're talking about recruits, man? Like, barely graduated HS, might not be able to read, recruits? Come on, we talkin about recruits, man.

People only believe the people on the side they want to believe. It's our human nature. See every political debate in the history of ever.

Coaches have never lied to recruits before? These guys are actually pretty good at selling whatever they want to high school kids.

Got it, so how do you know Saban is a liar?
Is it the same source that 'saw' Saban in Austin?

Really?

Aside from that, are you really going to white knight so hard for Saban that you'll deny college football coaches won't say whatever it takes (even if its a lie) to land a recruit?

Chris Low and Herbstreit have said slim to no chance. (Here comes the part where everyone shits on them but nobody applies the same scrutiny to other sources) Do they have a vested interest? They work for ESPN, seems like they would want him to go to Texas.

Literally every single shred of evidence that shows he's going to Texas comes from dubious at best unknown internet sources who also happen to have a vested interest (ie Texas or LSU people)

Let's get real.

If he does leave, it will be far worse than Miami (or LSU). He will be run through the mud forever, and his rep will never recover.

I just don't think he's that stupid.

anything other than flat out denial would fuel speculation, and thats not what he wants

True, but if you're a head coach within a handful of days from leaving anyway why would not commenting be a big deal? There's already rampant speculation he's leaving. What's the big deal a little more speculation at this point? That would be better in my opinion than flat out lying to recruit's faces. Of course this all presumes that he is in fact trying to get away from the lying rep he got from the Miami fiasco which he may not give a rip about.

FTR, I think he's leaving.

Herbstreit gave his opinion and Low literally re-worded every article already out on this shite.

Give me something better that points to him leaving. A mainstream news source. I'll wait.
