The problem with your theory is that if it wasn't for Freeman wanting to be close to home and Nielsen getting stuck in contract issues we would already have our coach. They were both going to come here so you don't consider them reputable?

IF we end up with Jones as our DC and he sucks then I would chalk that up to O being shitty at hiring/picking coaches more than anything.

As you mentioned, we have some of the best facilities in the country, in a recruiting hotbed, and are a national brand name with 3 national titles in the last 17 years - and we can pay $2.5 million a year.

The fact that someone like Jones is even being interviewed is a joke.

I tell you one thing, I'll take an Aranda recommendation over a Pete Carroll one any day. And if there's anyone in the coaching fraternity that can keep bias and politics out of his recommendations it is the very analytical Dave Aranda.

So I'm not considering this a bad thing yet.

We don't even know if it is Jones yet. It is near-confirmed we sent the plane to Land O' Lakes, but unconfirmed as to for whom.

This would be a disaster.

Apparently, YES! If its true, to what everyone thinks.."No one wants to work with O"...Then get a guy who kills the interview, kills the whiteboard, and wantsto be here...Yes!
