I pray I am wrong on this. I do not want Orgeron as head coach. I feel it would be disastrous or at the very least a HUGE risk. With that being said, how many of you actually have faith in Alleva thus far? If he does make a good hire, Ill be the first to eat my words!

Maybe it's my lack of faith, but it seems he's softening the blow... Unfortunately, I think a relatively small, yet more vocal portion of the fanbase has given him the "out" of saying "it's what the fans wanted" if an O hire doesn't go well.
Conspicuously missing from his letter was the reference to successful coach in building/running a major college program, which I seem to recall seeing in his statements just following Miles firing. There was no reason to put out this "updated" list of qualifications when he's already put one out, other than things have changed.

I also think that since Alleva didn't mention a successful head coaching stint also favors coach O. I thought that was one of the requirements in his first statement.

And this is what I fear is driving the bus now. Emotion. Making a huge decision that will affect the program for years on emotion. SMH.
Hire the most qualified candidate! Shut the good ole boy network down. Turn your back on the Archer/Hallman era. Keep moving forward.

To be honest that could describe a bunch of coaches. But I wouldn't be surprised if he did have someone locked up behind the scenes. The timing is interesting....just before the game that was rescheduled.

o be fair it remains to be seen but Fisher has already shown he is this kind of coach except for one year.
