Ask The Pirate King. He seems to think that if we don't offer the position to O, he will jump ship to the multitude of HC offers that he will have from other big name programs.

Nicholls State contacted Coach O two years ago.

this is one of my biggest concerns about O

the coaching circles are small, no? everyone knows everyone, especially someone that has been around like O

so how and why wasn't he able to get a job after USC?

I feel like people more in the know than all of us know something about O and that concerns me

Or that Saban hires him and then we never recruit another kid in Louisiana again.

I love how people try and use scare tactics to convince you to keep someone around. That always seems to work out. Just ask Hillary.

Because they know that he's not head coach material. Saying that is not necessarily a pejorative. It's just not his skill set.

Louisiana college maybe? Not sure they would trade Dennis Dunn for O though

In all seriousness, O should and will probably get an offer. But it will be a lower level school that HAS to take risks to be competitive. i.e. G5 or subpar P5 programs.

Lest we not forget that he openly lobbied for the Syracuse job last year and was not even granted an interview. And he coached there previously.

Well we can definitely remove Syracuse from the list. That leaves us with..

not Syracuse

And I heard it was just for an interim job. I have no words for the stupidity we're seeing within our own fan base.

Also not USC, who decided to go with a guy with ZERO HC experience over Ed O, who went 6-1 and upset Stanford down the stretch.

Les Miles is rumored to be in running for ND, Texas, and Purdue. Since interest by other schools is so important, perhaps we should give ole Les another look?

All of the Never Orgeron people have to admit that no matter what, LSU has played 10 times better under him than under miles.

He's not my first or second choice but give credit where credit is due.

He's a great interim coach. Interim.
