Doesn't really matter who else is interested in hiring him just a s long as he is available for LSU to hire if we were to go that route.

Actually works in our favor as we won't get in a bidding war for Orgeron and can spend more on hiring or keeping assistant coaches such as Aranda.

I see it as a huge positive

Please tell me this is a joke, otherwise, this is actual lunacy.

you SEEM like the LUNATIC to me.

What DIFFERENCE does it make if other school are waiting to hire Orgeron or NOT? Does it magically improve his coaching ability if he is offered coaching jobs at other schools? NO IT DOESN'T!!!

It is up to LSU to evaluate him as to whether or not he should be THE COACH OF LSU. I don't care if he would be a good coach at University of Texas or not. OUR only concern should be whether or not he will be a GREAT COACH at LSU!!!

so you don't think there's a reason no other schools are looking at O?

yes, they know if he is going to be a head coach it will be at LSU as his abilities and skill set are specifically targeted to qualify him as a fit at LSU and LSU only.
He would not be a fit at say a Iowa St. or Washington St.

It could be said he just fits the role at LSU. Like a jigsaw puzzle, if a piece fits it fits, if it doesn't fit, it doesn't matter how pretty the piece is, it just won't fit.

I don't get why people think his interim record is so damn special. He took over for USC and LSU. Both were as talented as any team in the country but underachieved, which got the head coaches canned. Everything was already set in place for him, all he had to do was keep the Ferrari between the lines. I would be impressed if he took over for someone like Vandy and coached them up to a winning record. Not so much winning with one of the most talented teams in the country.

The Vandy example can be a good one. See James Franklin and how he has built up Penn State since he arrived. Then again Dinardo was at Vandy pre LSU too so.....:).

Yeah but Dinardo was 19-25 at Vandy in 4 years.

He wasn't a good coach there.
