Lane Kiffin aTm?

Lane Kiffin to aTm should scare people. After losing to UGA he simply said they need to recruit better. He also talked about how UGA recruits so many 5*’s compared to what they have on the roster.
Kiffin already knows he’s maxed out at Ole Miss and he has taken Ole Miss to great seasons. But Ole Miss limited in ways that aTm is not. Ole Miss is not willing to spend the money aTm is to recruit. aTm has bigger budget for Football, and bigger recruiting budget. Kiffin going to aTm would fix all the problems he has talked about at Ole Miss last couple years. aTm also has a better NIL program than Ole Miss.
I think Kiffin has already been contacted, or his agent has been contacted already about the job. When Kiffin was asked about it today, he refused to answer the question and would not talk about it. He never denied one way or the other if he was connected.
Regardless if it’s Kiffin or not, aTm already has their guy. aTm doesn’t suddenly pay $77 million buy out and fire its coach mid season after a 40 point win to become bowl eligible if they didn’t already have a plan. $77 million and another $40 million or so for 5 years for the next guy is a lot of money for them to not have a plan. They made it clear today that a bowl game isn’t good enough and they not hiring a no name coach. If they didn’t have a plan, I figure they would wait to seasons end and do it. Doing it now leads me to believe they know who’s coming in a couple weeks.
I think this is announced after the last regular season game and the next coach isn’t coaching in the bowl and he heads to aTm. Lane playoffs hopes and SEC hopes are over with now, and the next day this happens? It wasn’t by accident I can assure you that.

Drinkwitz's team came close to beating UGA. Mizzou probably doesn't even have better overall talents than Ole Miss.

I don’t think A&M has its guy. Apparently there is a lot of interest in the job, and though fans may consider it second-tier coaches do not. A&M has all the resources but has made terrible coaching decisions.
Listen to Josh Pate on the subject.
May see A&M actually hire a search firm for the first time ever.

I guess we'll just have to poach Freeze, then.

I just don’t think aTm is a good fit for LK. He needs a place that will give him a ton of freedom. He doesn’t do well in places that like to have influence. With playoff expansion, Ole Miss is a great place. I think they have a better shot in the playoffs than winning the conference.

You spent all that time just to tell us you know nothing more about Kiffin or aTm than my dog?

Drinkwitz's
I don't know if it is him or just the luck of Irish but dude seems to be scary good.
Mizz can't recruit for shite...and that is understandable but they have a knack for coaching hires. There are some teams in the East that could learn a thing or two. Looking at every fricking team in East not named Georgia.

We can flip it around to Ole Miss had 700+ yards and a win against lsu..
Mizzu however did not..
We weren’t beating uga, but I think they played their best game against us.

It was either y'all or Kentucky. Other games may have said more about the character of this team, but were not "complete" games where the team was firing on all cylinders.
I would say that our game against Mizzou probably said more about Mizzou's character than anything else. Mizzou is a damn good team, and I think Ole Miss is too. Just ran into a buzzsaw.

I think Ole Miss is a good defense away from being scary good, they need to focus on upgrading DL and on finding a better DC

I don't think Lane would go to A&M. He is in a good situation where he is. I think he will keep his current job until Nick Saban retires at Alabama and then go for that.

We've seen lane at usc. I think he's only dangerous at a mid tier team. Dudes a good coach but not elite. Doesn't have the discipline or sacrifice to be elite. Dudes a poor man's Mac brown

Yeah, we are all terrified, he’s been wildly successful with multiple championships everywhere he’s been…

If he wants A&M to be his last job maybe.
Money might be so dumb he can’t say no, but I don’t see A&M giving him the freedom Ole Miss does. At ole miss he can go to south Florida and get out of town whenever he wants and Keith Carter let’s him do whatever he wants. He won’t have that at A&M.
Not going to guess what he does but A&M will have to overpay to get Kiffin there.

No, he didn't. He didn't last year either. The outcome of those games was never really in doubt.

Lane ain't going to say Howdy. I can promise you that. That is like 1 first question in the interview "Will you say howdy and suck up to all the boosters?".

No coach waits for Nick Saban to retire because no one knows when he will.
As far as anyone knows he may prefer to die on the job.
Lane Kiffin was the first coach to come to mind for aTm when the vacancy became apparent. I say he’s the one.
